The 780 pH meter has an automatic electrode check, which gives
you information about the state and performance of your electrode
at any time.
The stirrer can be controlled directly over the 780 Metrohm
Serial Bus (MSB) interface
Practical hints
Detergents must be fully dissolved before measuring pH.
Stirring increases homogeneity and leads to improved results.
Do not stir with the electrode - use magnetic stirrers, e.g.
the Metrohm 801 Magnetic Stirrer.
Important: rinse electrode thoroughly with distilled water between series of measurement. Lift the sleeve diaphragm slightly, thus flushing the liquid junction with electrolyte solution.
