Recommendation for cosmetics and detergents: 827 pH lab

pH Meter:

  • 827 pH lab
    • with EU plug 230 V
    • with US plug 115 V
    • with AUS plug
    • with UK plug)

Electrode:

  • Viscotrode, ground-joint diaphragm

Accessories:

  • Cable, 1m (other lengths available)
  • Buffer solutions
    • pH 4, pH 7 and pH 9 (30x30 mL sachets)
  • Electrolyte solution c (KCl) = 3 mol/L, 250mL (for Ag/AgCI reference system)
  • Storage solution for pH glass electrodes

Your advantages:

  • The 827 pH lab allows easy printing of your measurement data on a suited printer or transfer to a Personal Computer via IrDa-interface.

Practical hints

  • Detergents must be fully dissolved before measuring pH
  • Stirring increases homogeneity and leads to improved results. Do not stir with the electrode - use magnetic stirrers, e.g. the Metrohm 728 Magnetic Stirrer
  • Important: rinse electrode thoroughly with distilled water between series of measurement. Lift the sleeve diaphragm slightly, thus flushing the liquid junction with electrolyte solution
